La Grande Dame Rosé 2015 Bottle (0.75L) | Box

La Grande Dame 2015 Rosé is the ultimate expression of Madame Clicquot: it reveals her strength, energy, creativity and, above all, her attachment to Pinot Noir.“Didier Mariotti, Cellar Master. True to the quest for perfection and the spirit of the House, a tribute to Madame Clicquot, La Grande Dame Rosé 2015 Limited Edition by Paola Paronetto with Veuve Clicquot boxed set is a rare and exceptional wine that expresses itself with great elegance. The tension between the precision of Pinot Noir and the sunny character of the Vintage are expressed in this new cuvée, bringing depth and character. This new collaboration is the first time the House has entrusted the design of its La Grande Dame Rosé box to an artist. This boxed set is part of the collection of boxes produced for La Grande Dame 2015 in early 2023. The artist chose (from his palette of 97 tones) the color “Pesca Chiaro”: a vibrant light pink that expresses both the freshness and depth of the cuvée.

“Our black grapes make the finest white wines“: The glory of Pinot Noir. La Grande Dame pays tribute to Madame Clicquot. In 1818, she created the very first rosé blend by combining Bouzy red wine with her white wines. Grande Dame Rosé 2015 lives up to its vision with 90% Pinot Noir sourced mainly from the historic Grands Crus of the Veuve Clicquot terroir, as well as a red wine added to the blend from a single parcel: the ‘Clos Colin’ parcel located in Bouzy, a Grand Cru terroir. La Grande Dame Rosé 2015 Limited Edition by Paola Paronetto with Veuve Clicquot boxed set is an ideal champagne for gift-giving or for all your special tasting occasions.

    To the eye

An exaltation of the senses! Brilliant color, with coppery highlights. The bubbles are shimmering and fine.

    On the nose

On the nose, floral notes (rose & violet), citrus (mandarin orange, blood orange), red fruit (strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, blackberry) evolve towards warmer, spicier notes (peppermint, pepper, verbena, nutmeg, clove). On agitation, the bouquet becomes gourmand and voluptuous, with notes of bread, licorice and tea, as well as chalk and woody notes (cedar, eucalyptus).

    In the mouth

On the palate, after a straightforward attack, we find elegance and silkiness. This is a complex, lively wine with a long finish.

    Food & champagne pairings

Ideal as an aperitif, with produce from the garden (seasonal, local and extremely fresh), products with character that play on texture and powerful aromas. The first declination associates it with pure, mineral dishes, iodized, salty, racy, refined products. In a second declination, it's ideal with fruity, gourmand and excessive notes, for example with a medley of sweet potatoes with ginger, citrus and mild spices.

    Ideal operating temperature

To be consumed between 10 and 12 °C.

    Potential of keeping

Like all wines, champagne can be kept for varying lengths of time, depending on the type. Under optimal storage conditions, champagne can be kept for 1 to 2 years for Brut cuvées, and up to 4/5 years or even longer for vintage and prestige champagnes. Whatever happens, rest assured that you'll never be able to open your champagne too early, as the Champagne Houses only release their cuvées when they have reached perfect ripeness and are ready for immediate consumption.

    Assembly :
The blend of La Grande Dame Rosé is composed of 90% Pinot Noir (from Aÿ in the Grande Vallée de la Marne and Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay and Bouzy in the Montagne de Reims) and 10% Chardonnay (from Avize and Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs), offering a true balance between power and elegance, completed by the addition of 13% red wine (from the historic “Clos Colin” parcel in Bouzy) in the final blend.
    Vinification :
La Grande Dame pays tribute to the pioneering spirit of Madame Clicquot, known as the “Grande Dame of Champagne”. This cuvée embodies two of its major innovations: the production of the first Vintage champagne in 1810, and the creation of the first known blended rosé champagne in 1818. It highlights Veuve Clicquot’s oenological expertise in the elaboration and ageing of blended champagne, as well as the selection of a base of Historic Growths: Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay, Bouzy, Aÿ for Pinot Noir and Avize and Mesnil-sur-Oger for Chardonnay.
